As we edge closer to September and the inevitable ‘back to school’ shop, we thought we’d share our latest trend alert: meet the humble lunch box. It appears to have made somewhat of a comeback in recent months, much like the backpack, lunch boxes are back in fashion and we’re talking bright, plastic, cartoons, anything goes. Of course, you can always get creative with an existing lunch box and make break-time fun. We love this chalkboard effect, made easily using stick on decals. Write sweet messages to your loved one when you pack their lunch, or send a cheery reminder to your little ones to eat their carrots!
Though, it’s not just the kids who need lunch boxes either, oh no, this trend is influencing adults, too, with more grown ups than ever are taking lunch to work with them. The lunch box has become a commuter’s essential with professionals opting to prepare their own sandwiches and snacks rather than buying a lunch every day. If you, too, are declaring “Packed Lunches” for your daytime grub, then be sure to get yourself a stylish lunch box.
Picnics, too, are a great way to put your new lunch boxes to use. Before the summer sunshine leaves us entirely and is replaced with dreary rain be sure to tap into the lunch box trend and get yourself a fun and playful lunch box or picnic hamper. Pop in some cucumber sandwiches, fresh strawberries and a bottle of plonk and enjoy an afternoon with your nearest and dearest.
